Complete vehicle visibility with AI-powered human form recognition

The Backeye®360 AI 360 HFR Camera combines four HD cameras with intelligent human form recognition technology to provide drivers with a complete view around the vehicle. Designed for commercial vehicles and mobile plant, the system helps improve awareness of pedestrians, cyclists and workers in blind spots during low-speed manoeuvres.

By combining a real-time bird’s-eye view with artificial intelligence, Backeye®360 AI automatically detects people within predefined detection zones and provides visual and audible alerts to the driver. The result is greater visibility, improved awareness and more confident vehicle operation in busy environments.

Important Characteristics

AI camera systems with human form recognition are advanced driver aids designed to enhance visibility and safety. However, as with all vision systems performance can be affected by environmental conditions, obstructions, and other factors.

Brigade Backeye®360 AI with HFR

Backeye®360 AI combines four ultra-wide-angle HD cameras into a seamless 360° image displayed on a single monitor. Integrated artificial intelligence continuously analyses the surrounding area and alerts the driver when a person is detected.

The system helps improve visibility around the entire vehicle while reducing the need to switch between multiple camera views.

When a pedestrian enters a monitored area:
^
The person is highlighted on the monitor
^
A visual warning is displayed
^
An audible alert is triggered
^
The driver receives immediate awareness of activity around the vehicle

Need Help Choosing the Right System?

Our team can help you select the right AI camera solution for your vehicle type, operating environment and safety objectives.

How Does a 360 HFR Camera System Work?

Backeye®360 AI uses four strategically positioned cameras to capture a complete view around the vehicle. Advanced image processing stitches these images together to create a single bird’s-eye view displayed on the monitor.
At the same time, embedded artificial intelligence analyses the camera feeds and identifies human forms within predefined detection zones. When a person is recognised, the system highlights them on-screen and alerts the driver.
This combination of visibility and intelligent detection helps drivers make more informed decisions during manoeuvring, reversing and low-speed operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I eliminate blind spots on my trucks?

While blind spots cannot be completely removed using mirrors alone, technologies such as 360° camera systems, side cameras and AI detection systems can significantly improve visibility around the vehicle. A 360 HFR camera system provides a complete bird’s-eye view and alerts drivers when pedestrians are detected in monitored areas.

How do AI cameras help prevent collisions with pedestrians?

AI cameras use human form recognition technology to identify pedestrians and cyclists around the vehicle. When a person enters a predefined detection zone, the system provides visual and audible alerts, helping drivers improve awareness and respond more quickly to potential hazards.

What are the best ways to improve driver visibility on construction site machinery??

Improving visibility often requires a combination of cameras, mirrors and detection systems. 360° camera systems provide a complete view around the machine, while AI-powered detection can alert operators to workers or pedestrians who may be difficult to see in busy site environments.

360° camera vs multiple cameras for construction equipment: which is better?

Both solutions improve visibility, but they offer different benefits. Multiple cameras provide individual views of specific areas around the machine, while a 360° camera system combines several camera feeds into a single bird’s-eye image. For many operators, a 360° system simplifies monitoring by displaying the entire surrounding area on one screen, helping improve situational awareness during manoeuvring and site operations.
