Why mirrors and standard cameras fall short in ports.

In a port, the environment changes constantly. Containers, vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists all move through the same space at the same time. Drivers often have only seconds to assess their surroundings and react safely, especially during manoeuvring and reversing operations.

Which vehicles is Backeye®360 AI suitable for?

The system works on virtually all port-related vehicles, including reachstackers, forklift trucks, terminal tractors, cranes (RTG and STS), Ro-Ro vehicles, and heavy commercial vehicles. During the advisory call, we determine together which configuration fits your fleet.

How long does installation take?

A standard installation on a single vehicle is usually completed within one working day. For identical vehicles in the same fleet, the configuration can be transferred, which significantly speeds up rollout.

Does the system also detect cyclists and pedestrians?

Yes. The AI is trained to recognise people in various postures, including cyclists, pedestrians, and personnel in work clothing. The system distinguishes between people and objects and so avoids false alerts.

Can the system be combined with our existing technology?

Yes. Backeye®360 AI is compatible with Brigade HD monitors, MDR recorders, and other products in the Brigade ecosystem. During the advisory call, we look at how integration works best.

Are images stored for evidence?

Yes. All four camera feeds can be recorded in HD on an external Brigade MDR recorder. The recordings can be used for incident analysis, damage claims, and internal evaluations.
