The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a voluntary accreditation programme focused on road transport safety and is being updated in 2025.
FORS Version 7 updates.
Starting from 2 January 2025, your vehicle fleet will require compliance with FORS Version 7. This version brings changes to safety standards for vehicles, with updates aimed at reducing false alerts. This is particularly relevant if you manage articulated vehicles.
What You Need to Know About FORS Version 7.
- Trailer articulation cannot trigger false alerts.
- FORS now mandates MOIS technology. This requires you to fit sensors that alerts the driver of a vulnerable road user (VRU) in front of the vehicle.
- If your vehicle’s Direct Vision Standard (DVS) star rating is three stars or higher, you will meet the FORS S6 blind spot vision aid requirements.
- Vehicle cameras should now be installed to eliminate front and side blind spots.
- You should consider replacing older camera systems that may lack the clarity and response time of modern options.

Collision Prediction with Trailer Recognition
Ideal for rigid and articulated trucks, Radar Predict features a “trailer discovery mode” which prevents false alerts during turns. Using AI technology, visual and audible alerts of only relevant risks are provided to the driver.
Detection in front of the vehicle (MOIS)
Fitted to the front of the vehicle, our Front Radar system alerts the driver of VRUs in front of the vehicle. This forward collision prediction technology meets DVS and GSR R159 standards.
