Dulevo Deutschland arbeitet seit mehreren Jahren mit Brigade zusammen, um die Aufmerksamkeit der Fahrer und die Sichtverhältnisse bei seinen Straßenkehrmaschinen und kommunalen Reinigungsfahrzeugen zu verbessern. Diese Fallstudie beleuchtet, wie die Technologien Brigade, Backeye®360 AI, Radar Predict und AI Box in die Fahrzeuge Dulevo D6 und D-Zero integriert wurden, um den Bedienern zu helfen, den Überblick über belebte Arbeitsumgebungen mit größerer Sicherheit zu behalten.

In enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem Dulevo-Produktionsstandort in Fontanellato (Italien) bei Parma konzentriert sich das Unternehmen auf umweltbewusste, zuverlässige und effiziente Lösungen.

Vehicle safety is also an important part of that approach. Dulevo and Brigade have worked together for several years, with Brigade systems used to support driver awareness and visibility across Dulevo machines.

Added awareness around the Dulevo D6

This year, alongside the Brigade components already fitted as standard at the factory across Dulevo machines, a Dulevo D6 was equipped with additional safety systems.

The Dulevo D6 is a large vehicle, which can create areas around the machine that are difficult for the driver to monitor. To help address this, Brigade’s Backeye^®360 AI with Human Form Recognition was retrofitted to support awareness of people around the vehicle.

Backeye®360 AI combines a real-time bird’s-eye view with artificial intelligence. The system detects people within predefined detection zones and provides visual and audible alerts to the driver, helping them maintain awareness during low-speed manoeuvring and operation in busy environments.

Intelligent left-side turn support

Da es sich beim Dulevo D6 um ein Fahrzeug mit Rechtslenkung handelt, wurde das Brigade Radar Predict auf der linken Seite der Maschine nachgerüstet.

Radar Predict uses AI-powered radar technology to analyse the speed and direction of both the vehicle and nearby road users. The system distinguishes between moving and static objects, helping to reduce unnecessary warnings and alerting the driver when a genuine risk is detected.

For large municipal machines working in shared spaces, this additional layer of side detection supports driver awareness where cyclists, pedestrians and other vulnerable road users may be nearby.

Upgrading the Dulevo D-Zero with AI detection

Ein Dulevo D-Zero wurde außerdem mit dem Backeye^®360 AHD-System sowie den Modellen Brigade und AI Box ausgestattet.

Das Modell Brigade AI Box wurde entwickelt, um kompatible bestehende Kamerasysteme um eine KI-gestützte Erkennung menschlicher Silhouetten zu erweitern. Es wird in Reihe mit dem bestehenden System installiert, erkennt Personen innerhalb konfigurierbarer Erkennungszonen und gibt visuelle und akustische Warnsignale aus, um die Aufmerksamkeit des Fahrers beim Manövrieren und bei Fahrten mit niedriger Geschwindigkeit zu unterstützen.

For fleets that already use camera systems, this offers a practical upgrade route by adding intelligent detection capability without necessarily replacing the full camera installation.
