Detection Systems

Brigade’s Detection Systems alerts the driver of obstacles close to the vehicle, whether moving or stationary. An audible and or visual in-cab warning informs of distance while an optional external speaking alarm can be added to alert cyclists and pedestrians that the vehicle is turning.

Backsense® Radar

Backsense® heavy-duty radar proximity sensor systems are designed to detect people and objects in blind spots, significantly reducing incidents. Sensors are available in fixed detection range models and fully programmable models allowing bespoke detection areas and the ability to calibrate-out fixed objects or bodywork.

Minimize False Warnings

Audible Driver Warnings

Suitable for both on- and off-road applications

Heavy Duty

Sidescan® Predict

Brigade’s Sidescan®Predict is the next generation of side-detection sensor system, designed for collision avoidance between road vehicles, objects and vulnerable road users. Utilizing ultrasonic technology, this intelligent system predicts if a collision is likely to occur.

Radar Predict

Using AI technology, the single dual-radar analyses data such as the speed and direction of both the vehicle and the cyclist. By differentiating between static and moving objects, the Radar Predict algorithm alerts the driver when an impact with a cyclist is likely.

Conforms to side blind-spot regulations

Reduces false alarms

Effortless installation

Substantial detection area

Careye® AI Turn Assist

CAREYE® uses artificial intelligence (AI) to accurately evaluate the images from cameras fitted to a vehicle and can calculate the future course of motion of nearby people or objects. Based on this data, the system reliably and accurately warns the driver in real time of a possible collision before it occurs.

Minimize False Positive Warnings

Suitable for all Types of Vehicles

Advanced Detection

Ability to Classify the Objects

ZoneSafe® RFID Detection

ZoneSafe® uses Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to create detection zones around vehicles and mobile plant. The system can be connected to trigger barriers and doors etc. for restricted or controlled access for workers and vehicles.

Compliance

Compliant with CLOCS, FORS and construction companies who require commercial vehicles to meet specific safety specifications.

Brigade’s range of ultrasonic proximity sensor systems include; Backscan®, Frontscan®, Sidescan®, Cornerscan and Stepscan.

  • Gives peace of mind to the driver
  • Greater protection to pedestrians, cyclists and workers
  • Minimizes damage to vehicle, property and other objects

Ultrasonic sensor proximity

Sensor data and camera image combined.

Working with a camera monitor system and up to two ultrasonic detection systems, the on-screen display module warns the driver of obstacles close to the vehicle by overlaying 3-stage audible and visual ultrasonic data onto the camera image on the vehicle’s monitor.

  • Integration of Brigade’s ultrasonic obstacle detection and camera monitor systems to improve safety.
  • Ultrasonic detection warnings overlaid onto the camera image on in-cab monitor.
  • Reduced driver stress and distractions as all information is in one view.
