INZAG Germany GmbH from Wiesbaden is a German construction company that is active on the African market.
INZAG currently has two branches, one in Angola and one in Ghana. The most recent project is the rehabilitation of a 64 km section of the Eastern Corridor Road near Accra, Ghana.
We have to make sure that everything has been done to prevent accidents involving our machines and vehicles. On INZAG projects, the use of audible and visual warning devices and the Brigade radar system is already mandatory
The high-performance Backsense® radar sensor systems enable the detection of stationary and moving objects and inform the driver in the cab on a display and with an acoustic warning signal. The Backsense® distance warning sensors also work under difficult conditions or in poor visibility, e.g. due to darkness, dust and fog.
Following joint discussions between INZAG and Brigade and an exchange on various safety systems, INZAG decided to install the Backeye®360 system on the road roller.
The system provides the driver with an all-round view of the vehicle in real-time with a single image. It consists of four ultra-wide-angle cameras, each of which captures an entire side of the vehicle with a viewing angle of more than 180°. The calibrated cameras are mounted on the front, sides and rear of the vehicle and capture the entire surroundings, making all blind spots and people in the danger zone visible. The comprehensive bird’s eye view helps the driver with maneuvering and work processes.
A Brigade MDR was also installed for the purpose of driver training and theft protection. The digital video recorders in the MDR range offer high-quality recording functions to protect the company and the drivers. The MDR acts as a digital witness and records the images from the vehicle-mounted cameras. The images can then be played back via the MDR Dashboard on the PC or the mobile app.
