The partnership began with the bbs-tek^® White Sound^® backup alarm, an evolution of the traditional tonal alarms introduced in Europe by Brigade’s founder, Chris Hanson-Abbott OBE, in 1976. Brigade quickly realized that traditional alarms often caused confusion and were ineffective, so they introduced a directional sound version that was easy to identify, improving safety. Artificial Intelligent 360° Vision from Brigade and Varini

To showcase these innovations in action, Varini is equipping a demonstration vehicle with Brigade’s cutting-edge Backeye®360 AI system – a 360-degree vision system enhanced with artificial intelligence capable of identifying human shapes and distinguishing between a person (not necessarily fully visible) and an object.

The Backeye®360 AI system eliminates blind spots, providing a clear and comprehensive view of the surroundings through 3D visualizations. It also provides both audible and visual alerts to the driver when detecting pedestrians or cyclists within the detection area. This breakthrough technology is a major advancement in safety during maneuvers, particularly on construction sites, industrial facilities, and other environments with limited space where the risk of collisions with other machinery, structures, or operators is high.
