Why is the monitor showing a blue screen?

A blue screen indicates there is no video signal on that channel:

  • Check the correct channel is selected.
  • Check the camera cable connections.
  • Check the camera cables for damage.
What are the red and grey wires used for on the VSP-47A/VSP-57A socket?

The wires provide a looped circuit via the Truck & Trailer connectors VSP-47B/VSP-57B. This is generally used to control a camera switcher (VCS-020) to allow automatic selection of a trailer camera when the trailer is connected.
