Stepscan™ Ultrasonic Detection System
Stepscan™ is a nearside step detection system designed to monitor the area around the nearside cab step of commercial vehicles. Using two ultrasonic sensors, the system detects pedestrians, cyclists and obstacles that may be hidden close to the vehicle and alerts the driver through audible and visual warnings.
By improving awareness of hazards in this critical blind spot, Stepscan™ helps reduce the risk of collisions during low-speed manoeuvres, turning and reversing.
