Waarom alarmen omkeren?
De achterste dode hoek is een groot probleem, ongeacht het voertuig of de machine, want achteruitrijdende voertuigen veroorzaken een kwart van alle dodelijke incidenten op het werk. 90% van de ongelukken bij achteruitrijden vindt plaats op terreinen (laad- en losplatforms, parkeerplaatsen voor vrachtwagens, terreinen bij steengroeven, pakhuizen etc.) en het is belangrijker dan ooit tevoren om effectieve risicobeoordelingen uit te voeren over de processen waarbij achteruit wordt gereden.
Een achteruitrij alarm waarschuwt mensen en/of objecten die zich in de rijweg van het voertuig bevinden, dat het voertuig achteruitrijdt. Tonale alarmen werden in de jaren 70 van de vorige eeuw in Europa geïntroduceerd. Dit was een belangrijke stap vooruit voor de veiligheid, maar in de loop der tijd bleken er een aantal bezwaren aan te kleven. Met name het effect op het milieu maar ook qua veiligheid – echter dat was nu net de reden waarom ze ingevoerd werden.

Brigade’s bbs-tek® White Sound® reversing alarms are designed to make the sound easier to locate than conventional tonal alarms. The sound dissipates quickly outside the danger area, helping reduce unnecessary noise for nearby workers, residents and local communities.

Suited for commercial vehicles and applications where a clear, locatable warning is needed without excessive noise spread. The range includes 82 dB, 87 dB, 92 dB and 97 dB models for 12-24Vdc systems.

Designed for working environments where background noise levels change throughout the day. Instead of operating at a fixed sound level, they continually adjust to 5-10 dB above ambient noise, helping keep the alarm audible without being louder than necessary.
High-voltage Reversing Alarms
For electric forklift and high-voltage applications, Brigade offers White Sound reversing alarms for 36-80Vdc systems. These alarms provide the same locatable broadband warning technology in a format suited to high-voltage vehicle requirements.

Sinds 2010 is Brigade betrokken bij de werkgroep QRTV (Quiet Road Transport Vehicles, stille wegvoertuigen) om de vereisten voor een VN-norm vast te stellen.
Brigade heeft een Quiet Vehicle Sounder (geluidsinstallatie voor stille voertuigen) met meerdere frequenties ontwikkeld, waarin we onze gepatenteerde technologie bbs-tek® hebben geïntegreerd. Dit bbs-tek® is witte ruis met een breed frequentiebereik. Daardoor kan iemand in de baan van het voertuig direct horen waar het geluid vandaan komt en uit welke richting. Die persoon kan dan maatregelen nemen om het voertuig te ontwijken. Er is geen veiliger alternatief.

The sound is designed to stay concentrated within the danger area and dissipate quickly outside the hazard zone. For busy worksites, depots, loading areas and urban operations, this can help provide an effective reversing warning while reducing unnecessary noise nuisance beyond the immediate risk area.
For environments where background noise changes throughout the day, Brigade also offers self-adjusting bbs-tek alarms. These continually adjust to 5-10 dB above ambient noise level, helping keep the alarm audible without being louder than necessary.
