The Ultimate Incident Prevention Kit

Brigade’s MDR AI Cameras are a driver alert system designed to address one of the most critical challenges in road safety: driver error. With 41% of HGV collisions attributed to driver inattention, distraction or fatigue, these advanced cameras offer a proactive solution to minimise risk and enhance fleet safety.

Compatible with Brigade’s MDR 600 Series and AI Connected Dashcams, the AI-powered Forward-Facing and Driver-Facing are designed to prevent incidents by providing alerts against potential driver error scenarios. In case of an incident, the MDR or Dashcam will immediately generate an alert and send this to an in-cab monitor via the A/V out connector.

Alternatively, as an optional accessory, there is Brigade’s Hazard Warning Unit. The hazard warning unit will provide the driver with an immediate visual display and audible alert if one of the alarms is triggered.

Both the forward-facing and driver-facing cameras are fully integrated with Brigades Video Telematics, allowing Fleet Managers to access alerts and video clips instantly.

Frequently Asked Questions

How can I monitor driver fatigue and distraction in my fleet?

Driver fatigue and distraction can be monitored using AI-powered driver-facing cameras that analyse driver behaviour in real time. These systems can identify signs of drowsiness, inattention and other potentially unsafe behaviours, providing immediate alerts to the driver. Fleet managers can also review safety events and trends to support coaching, training and risk reduction programmes.

How do AI cameras for trucks detect driver fatigue?

AI cameras for trucks use advanced image analysis to monitor driver behaviour and identify indicators associated with fatigue or reduced attention. When the system detects behaviour that may indicate drowsiness or distraction, it can trigger an in-cab alert to encourage the driver to refocus on the road. This proactive approach helps address risks before they develop into incidents.

What kind of technology helps prevent truck drivers from using their phones while driving?

AI driver facing cameras can detect mobile phone use and provide immediate visual or audible alerts when a driver is distracted by a device. By notifying the driver in real time, these systems help encourage safer driving habits and reduce the risk associated with mobile phone distraction behind the wheel.

What should I look for in a driver safety camera system for my fleet?

When choosing a driver safety camera system, consider solutions that offer:

  • AI-powered driver monitoring
  • Driver fatigue and distraction detection
  • Mobile phone use alerts
  • Forward collision warning capabilities
  • Lane departure warnings
  • High-quality video recording
  • Real-time driver alerts
  • Fleet management and telematics integration
  • Event recording and video evidence capture
  • Reliable support and warranty coverage

The most effective driver safety camera systems combine driver monitoring, road-facing hazard detection and video recording technology to help fleets improve safety, reduce incidents and gain greater visibility into driver behaviour.
