Keeping port operations running efficiently, yet safety, is a challenging task.

Marine ports are busy environments
With employees working alongside a wide variety of people, including different employers’ drivers who may not speak the same language or be familiar with the port operating infrastructure. Drivers need to pick up or drop off their cargo as quickly as possible.
There may be pressures to load or unload a ship’s cargo quickly to catch a tide or to free up a wharf, resulting in marine-terminal workers often working long and irregular hours. Inadequate dock illumination at night can make it difficult for drivers to see and avoid pedestrians or other obstacles, whilst slippery or hazardous driving surfaces can further impair operator performance and contribute to traffic-related injuries and fatalities.
Find the right safety system for your sea port vehicles.
Brigade’s commercial vehicle and plant safety systems are suitable for most sea port and plant vehicles. These safety systems include front and rear-view cameras, side cameras, 360° cameras, in-cab monitors, Radar Predict, Backsense® Radar detection, reverse and warning alarms and mobile digital recorders.
To help you to select the correct devices, we have made recommendations for each vehicle and plant equipment.

Safety Solutions for Marine Ports
Backeye®360 Camera Monitor System
Intelligent camera monitor system offering the driver a ‘birds-eye’ surround view of the vehicle in one image.
Cameras
Brigade’s camera monitor systems enable drivers and operators to manoeuvre and drive safely. Vehicle-mounted CCTV cameras can help the driver to see blind spots and provide a reversing aid by delivering a live feed on the monitor of everything in the camera view, including people or obstacles.
Monitors
Backeye® monitors allow multiple camera images to be viewed on a single monitor with dedicated views triggered by, for example, reverse gear. Cameras provide a wider angle of view than mirrors and are less likely to be damaged, whilst built-in LED’s offer superior visibility in low light conditions.
Reversing and Warning Alarms
Ultrasonic Obstacle Detection
Radar Predict
Using AI technology, the single dual-radar analyses data such as the speed and direction of both the vehicle and the cyclist. By differentiating between static and moving objects, the Radar Predict algorithm alerts the driver when an impact with a cyclist is likely.
Backsense® Radar Detection
Backsense® heavy-duty radar proximity sensor systems are designed to detect objects in blind spots, significantly reducing incidents. Sensors are available in fixed detection range models and fully programmable models allowing bespoke detection areas and the ability to calibrate-out fixed objects or bodywork.
Mobile Digital Recording
Our MDR range of digital video recorders offers high-quality recording functionality so that you can rest assured that you and your drivers are protected.
