Innovation, collaboration and a shared commitment to safety took centre stage at Interschutz in Hanover. As one of the world’s leading trade fairs for the fire service, emergency services, civil protection and safety, the event provided an excellent opportunity to engage with industry experts and showcase technologies that contribute to safer working environments for drivers, operators and vulnerable road users.
At this year’s trade fair, Brigade presented two innovative solutions designed to improve vehicle safety and support safer operational procedures: the AI Box and Backeye®360 AI.
The AI Box demonstrated how pedestrian detection technology can be integrated into existing analogue camera-monitor systems without the need to replace cameras or monitors. The system is compatible with up to two cameras, detects people within freely definable detection zones and issues visual and audible warnings. This helps drivers and operators to identify potential hazards at an early stage and respond appropriately.
Visitors were also able to discover Backeye®360 AI – Brigade’s intelligent four-camera system, which combines a full 360-degree panoramic view with AI-powered person detection. The system provides both audible and visual warnings whilst simultaneously offering a high-resolution bird’s-eye view of the vehicle. This gives drivers significantly better situational awareness during manoeuvring and driving.
