CCTV recording is increasingly becoming standard fitment on commercial vehicles as the ever growing need to provide evidence for a host of reasons continues to grow. The problem arises when operators have multiple suppliers for telematics, video services and hardware.
Operators often struggle to manage all the data from multiple systems with numerous platforms and log-ins. There has long been a need for one system to streamline vehicle CCTV footage and telematics combined.
Elevating Commercial Vehicle Safety with CCTV and Telematics Integration
Brigade Electronics can now offer integration with Webfleet, Bridgestone’s globally trusted fleet management solution, to streamline the customer experience. James Ashford, National Manager of UK Connected Services, Brigade Electronics said: “We are delighted to announce our integration with Webfleet. The coming together of two solutions will combine telematics and video safety solutions to increase efficiency for transport operators with the added assurance of quality of hardware.”
In addition, Brigade customers who have non connected digital recording devices will be able to easily upgrade to a live service to take full advantage of this offer. This is particularly relevant this year as 3G services across the UK become obsolete as the country transitions to 4G and 5G services.
Furthermore, Webfleet customers with existing subscriptions will be able to use Brigade digital recording hardware and live telematics services.
Brigade and Webfleet Collaboration: Streamlined Solutions for Transport Operators
Features from the integration will include driver performance scoring with automatic downloads, below a pre-agreed score caused by events such as harsh braking or steering. The system will also be able to give an AI generated, combined view to provide a series of events in context.
The data can be used for insurance referrals. All customers need to do is click on the share button and a link will be generated to send direct to the insurance company.
The Webfleet integration can also be used for driver commendation to celebrate good driving practices.
Brigade’s Support Network for Cross-Continental Fleet Operations
UK customers that drive across Europe will be able to use the Webfleet platform for their fleets. Brigade has subsidiaries in France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Italy as well as distribution and installation partners across the globe.
“This is moving towards understanding why an accident happened, not just incidents in isolation. For instance, if the telematic element suggest driver distraction, the video footage may paint a different picture, or it may confirm a bad driving practice.”
